My girls LOVE LOVE LOVE play-doh as the should, they are 3 ;). I’ve yet to buy the actual branded version and instead opt to make my own.  We have a crap-load of glitter in the house and I decided to add some silver and white glitter to the play-doh recipe, with no food coloring to make what I call “Snow-Doh”.  They had so much fun making this recipe as they are playing with it and running around showing everyone they can their new “Snow-Doh”

Supplies:

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Salt
  • 4 tsp. Cream of Tartar
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • 1 Tbsp. of Cooking Oil
  • Silver and/or White glitter, (not glue glitter just regular glitter) I used Martha Stewart Glitter
The girls taking Glitter Dumping Seriously!

I put all the ingredients in a pan, and when I get to the glitter part, I let the kids dump and dump and dump (through the tiny whole dispenser part) until they think we have enough glitter.

Then heat it over medium heat until it forms into a ball, stir the whole time. then dump it on wax paper or your counter (I have granite so that works fine for us). and knead. Then have the kids add even more sprinkles until you get the “Snow-Doh” look your going for!
